Our activities and events are
plentiful, consisting of social
dinners, BBQs, parties, picnics,
camping, fishing derby, Sportsmen Show,
Veterans Fishing Day and more. We
also have Trapshooting, Sporting Clays
shoots, rifle and
pistol shoots, 3-D archery shoots,
turkey shoots, ATA sanctioned shoots and
special competitions to keep our members
busy. Hunting is
second to none, with Pheasant, Chukar,
Quail, Turkey and Waterfowl in the bird
hunting category and many other large
and small game indigenous to our area,
the hunter is well served. There
is a special dog training area, 200
acres to camp and over 2,000 acres of
prime farm and woodlands to hunt. For the fishermen,
there are various lakes, rivers and
ponds offering trout, bass, channel
catfish and more.
And if that weren't enough, we take
great pride in offering continuing
education in outdoor related sports
and conservation. Hunter safety
courses, trapping courses, nuisance
wildlife courses are a few of the
courses available and members are welcomed to attend one or all.
As you can see, Shawangunk Fish & Game
Association has everything one would
want in a rod and gun club.
Events, parties, shoots, education,
hunting, camping, fishing and of course... the
friendships that last a lifetime. We are confident you will find
everything you need and more in Shawangunk Fish
